Faith needs a vivid imagination, imagination that trumps the word “impossible.” YHWH shares His imagination with the people—an imagination for a new Zion where He would pitch His tent, where faithfulness will marry holiness, where men and women will grow old gracefully, and boys and girls will play with delight. All saints have had this kind of imagination. They made God’s imagination their own. Thus they dared to imagine a new heaven and a new earth; they embraced a life totally consecrated to God; they travelled lands and seas to make this imagination a reality; they gave up their life for defending God’s dream for the world. Jesus talks of the imagination necessary to become like little children, to be the least in the Kingdom. It is such people who would be counted as truly great in the Kingdom. God needs people with daring imagination for his Kingdom. Do you dare?
